Altered Art Cabinets Revealed!

We had a delightful art gathering last evening with yummy food (especially that popcorn), prizes, make and takes, and the highlight was the unveiling of our altered cabinets. Each one is so unique and evokes the personality of its creator. Here they are!

Mary and Sue's will be added as soon as I get their photos.

Thanks Doris for a great idea with the cabinets, and thank you Fran and Miriam for our art gathering getaway!

would like to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone who was able to attend the gathering last night at Art Smarts. We hope you all had a good time....we did!!! Art Smarts was not a bad place to host this type of event....it was a little tight, but all in all, worked out fine. In case anyone is interested, the cost to rent this space is $40.00 - contact me if you want the info. Also, on this note, Sue Black mentioned to me last night that there is a church in Glenmont that she used to rent for her stamp camp and they charge $30.00....if you want more info on this space please contact Sue.

The Altered Cabinets were wonderful....one was more unique than the other....we sure are a talented group if I might say so! Maura will be posting the pictures on the blog very soon.....and I hope to post them on my blog as well.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and looking forward to our next gathering, which, I believe [Doris has the list], will be hosted by Maura and Lori sometime in August!

REMINDER - Art Gathering and Altered Cabinet Reveal this friday!!!

Hey Girls,

Just a reminder that this friday, April 5th, is the Spring Gathering and Altered Cabinet Reveal at Art Smarts - 5:30 PM - on the grounds of Hoffman's Playland, Rt. 9, Latham [conveniently located next door to Subway]. Food and fun awaits! Miriam has planned two projects for everyone to do so please bring your basic supplies: scissors, tape runner, glue stick, ink for distressing, etc.

Waiting for the arrival of Spring

Even though I know the calender says it is

We are all patiently waiting for the arrival of Spring,

so let’s create our own impressions of it.

Using a Ranger #12 Giant Tag ( measures 5 1/8" x 10.25") or cut your own. Create a pretty spring tag. Use your stamps, flowers, die cuts, pretty ribbons and or any of your embellishments whatever you would like to create a spring setting. You can go over the edges of the tag, but remember we are mailing this so use your judgement.

The tag is due to me (Doris Santore) by Friday, April 26.
