We enjoyed a delightful evening hosted by Mary and Janice - thank you ladies!!! On a cold winter evening, the gathering was a warm and bright place to be. We started with a light repast of mini bbq pork sandwiches, hot drinks, and moved into several delicious desserts...along with the ones pictured, Mary made a traditional flan, which we enjoyed.

We had fun chatting and crafting as you can see. Mary came up with a fun altered matchbox project and Janice put together a pop-up card, all Valentine themed.

Fairy Luminary

Ladies, here is a sneak peek of the project we will be doing at our August art gathering. Thanks to Lori and Doris for helping me with the idea!

Materials to bring if you have them: detail scissors, inks or paint, detail brush, wire cutters, pliers, 3 in 1 glue or similar, special items you want to add to your jar such as flowers, a figure, fossil like I did or rock to put your tea light on, glitter...we will have the basics, you bring any unique things you especially want.

Time: 4:00 pm

Project: Mason Jar Fairy Luminary - we are going to use a small mason jar, tea light , Resin fairy which you can fancy up, wire to hang it, and we will have such things as beads, papers, ribbons, moss, stones, etc. to add to your jar to make it unique. You will take home a sweet little light you can hang in your garden to enjoy the rest of the summer.

Supplies: glue such as 3 in 1, scissors, paint/ink/stain/glitter if you want to fancy your fairy up, any small unique items you personally want to add to your luminary (if I think of more after I do our sample, I will let you know)

Dinner: Backyard Barbecue with Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Salads and Dessert

Cost: $20.00 per person

Limited to the first 12 responses

June Gathering -Reminder

Hi ladies to kick start our new Gathering Schedule Mary and I have decided to host a Gathering in June.

 

Friday,  June 7th

6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

To be held at:

Mary Castilla

In Guilderland, NY

Pizza & Salad will be served

along with a Beverage and dessert

 

Two technique projects are planned for each artist to create*

RSVP no later than June 1st

There is room for 10-12 artists 

I hope you will join the us.
 

*Please bring tape, scissors, a craft mat,  two small paint brushes

(to be used with alcohol inks), and a water brush if you have one.
 

  The fee remains at $20.00 per person and can be paid at the gathering. 

Altered Art Cabinets Revealed!

We had a delightful art gathering last evening with yummy food (especially that popcorn), prizes, make and takes, and the highlight was the unveiling of our altered cabinets. Each one is so unique and evokes the personality of its creator. Here they are!

Halloween Gathering Reminder

Just a Reminder

The Halloween Gathering 

Is a little over 2 weeks away, have you finished or started work on your witch's hat?
 I know I have to get moving need to finish it....lol.

I just want to remind everyone if you haven't already notified Beth or Doris that you are attending please let us know by the 20th.  there are still a couple seats available.

We will be serving soup and sand-witchs, dessert and beverages
  we also have 2 fun projects planned
so it should be lots of fun.

Lori's & Maura's Summer Art Gathering

First, I would like to say thank you to Lori for inviting us into your beautiful home for a summer gathering.

Next, I also want to thank both Lori and Marua for planning such a fun filled few hours of good food and creative crafting. I am so glad everyone was able to make it (Miriam you were with us in sprit, get better soon so you can come to the October Halloween Gathering) it was great to see everyone.
