Monthly Tag Swap

Like allot of us one of my favorite altered artist is Tim Holtz.

 

 

So I was thinking it might be fun to swap Tim inspired tags.

 

They would be due the last Friday of the month starting with June (due 6/28)

Each month for the next six months you would make 2 tags

One to swap one to keep.

Requirements would be to use a

Number #8 size tag and alter it in some way using your paints, Inks, stamps, dies, punches, embossing folders, embellishments, trinkets just about anything from your statch will do.

The theme is up to you it can be anything that inspires you from sewing, to travel, flowers, holiday, vintage or even Steampunk.

The goal is to have fun, create and share your art.

 

Playing Card Swap

Take a regular deck of cards and alter 10 of them front and back to exchange. The theme is "travel the world" and it can be different countries, cultures, modes of travel...the world is your creative jump start!

Wouldn't it be fun to end up with a ring like this? I hope you will be able to join in the fun in this 10 for 10! Swap will be due to Maura by July 15, and that should give you plenty of creative time to work on your world traveling.

June Gathering -Reminder

Hi ladies to kick start our new Gathering Schedule Mary and I have decided to host a Gathering in June.

 

Friday,  June 7th

6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

To be held at:

Mary Castilla

In Guilderland, NY

Pizza & Salad will be served

along with a Beverage and dessert

 

Two technique projects are planned for each artist to create*

There is room for 10-12 artists 

I hope you will join the us.
 

*Please bring tape, scissors, a craft mat,  two small paint brushes

(to be used with alcohol inks), and a water brush if you have one.
 

  The fee remains at $20.00 per person and can be paid at the gathering.

Just a reminder that the Giant Tag is due to me by Friday May 18th. If you are still working on it and planning on sending me your tag please let me know. So far I have received Donna's and Mary's.
