Ode to Spring

We know that spring has arrived in certain parts of the world, our friends send us photos of their flowers and sunshine, but here in upstate NY, spring has yet to arrive. So, we crafty and creative folk make our own spring, as you can see in the delightful views of spring expressed in our Spring Fling swap.

Around the World and Back Again

Three of us took up the challenge to travel the world and record our "journeys" on playing cards. Thanks Doris and Janice for joining me on the adventure! We have some delightfully creative interpretations of travel to share with you. What I ended up doing was swapping out the cards so we each have 4 from each other and 2 of our own to make a better mix.

Altered Clock Create and Show

I have ordered a dozen of these Tim Holtz assemblage clocks for us to alter and share at an upcoming gathering. I will have them available for you at the summer gathering in August (details soon on that - keep August 9th open). I have been able to purchase them for $8 each (clock + shipping). Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing and altering one for a showing. I think we can have a lot of fun with this and hope you will join in the fun! Altered Art Cabinets Revealed!

We had a delightful art gathering last evening with yummy food (especially that popcorn), prizes, make and takes, and the highlight was the unveiling of our altered cabinets. Each one is so unique and evokes the personality of its creator. Here they are!

Mary and Sue's will be added as soon as I get their photos.

Thanks Doris for a great idea with the cabinets, and thank you Fran and Miriam for our art gathering getaway!

Miriam's Altered Postcard Swap

Miriam is hosting an altered postcard swap. The theme is "April showers bring May flowers". You must include some pretty ribbons and do both sides of the card. Think flowers, gardens, parasols... The samples shown are from a recent swap Miriam participated in and are just to give you some ideas of what she is looking for. This will be a one for one swap.
Email Maura at onecraftystamper@gmail.com to get the postcard for the swap (send me your address and I will mail it to you) I have 15 postcards, and we could order more if needed.
Email Miriam at soto@aol.com with any questions you may have, and her address if you need it, to mail them to her. Miriam will be handling the exchange of postcards.
