Tim Holtz - September Tag

I can not beleive it is September where did the summer go....lol, I am sure you are shaking your heads and thinking the same thing.  Two weeks ago I was asked if the leaves had started changing here where I live in Voorheesville and sadly I had to say yes I had seen a couple trees where the leaves had started turning.  Well I have to admit though that I am not sad that they are I love the fall I love living here in Voorheesville with the Helderberg Mountains all around me, and it won't be long when I walk outside and it will look like a box of crayons exploded in my yard with all the beautiful fall colors...lol.  And of course with the onset of fall we all know what comes next.... Halloween...... I have already started my holiday decorating have you.....

Anyway what this post is suppose to be about is Tim Holtz's September Tag

Tim Holtz's Tag

 I have been working on Tim's tags and so far this is what I have finished.....May's 2012 tag

I changed a couple of things from what Tim did, I stamped the dress form twice, once on the tag and once on craft paper I then cut it out and mounted it over the stamped image on the tag, I raised it   giving it deminsion, I also used 3 of his pins as legs for the dress form.  If  I were to do this tag again I would use small paper roses (I didn't have roses at the time)  and  mist color on them instead of using inks. (I still might do this and just replace the flowers as I am not happy with them),

  Now I think I will try and get the other 3 I have started finished....lol.

Hard to believe that it's August 1st, but it must be because Tim has his tag for August posted. And I think this has to be one of my favorites.

         I have been trying to keep up with Tim's tags, so far I have one completed and three started.  How about you anyone doing Tim's tags?

Tim Holtz Configuration Boxes

A couple weeks ago, Maura, Mary, Miriam and myself (hopefully I didn't leave anyone out) along with several other ladies took a class at Captured Moments using the Tim Holtz Configuration Boxes. We all had such a great time playing with the boxes trying to figure out what way to place them and what to put in them.  I have pictures of Maura's and mine and hope that Mary and Miriam will post pictures of their's for you to see....enjoy

Tim Holtz Challenge

I had this crazy idea today......no different from other days....lol.....would anyone be interested in doing the Tim Holtz monthly tags.  My thought was we could do our interpretation of  the tags each month with Tim no swaps involved,  we would do them for ourselves, grab a cup of coffee or tea and take a few minutes and create something for you.  We could then post a picture of what we did and share.  I thought it might be fun to see how differently they would look reflecting our individual personality's..
